Announcement of Change of Representative Executive Director, President and CEO
Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) advises that, at the Board of Directors meeting held today, the Board resolved that the following changes will be made with regard to the office of Representative Executive Director, President and CEO of the Company, with effect from the dates shown below.

In association with the foregoing change, Yozo Izuhara, currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, will assume the role of non-executive Chairman of NSG Group, in lieu of his current office.
2. Reason for Changes
Stuart Chambers, currently Representative Executive Director, President and CEO of the Company, has indicated his wish to resign, for personal family reasons, from the office of Representative Executive Director, President and CEO, as well as that of a Director of the Company. His resignation will take effect from close of business on 30 September 2009. The Board accepted his resignation at the board of directors meeting held today and simultaneously resolved that Katsuji Fujimoto, currently Chairman of NSG Group, be elected as successor to the positions currently held by Stuart Chambers.
3. Effective date of Changes
The resignation of Stuart Chambers will take effect from close of business on 30 September 2009, with the election of Katsuji Fujimoto taking effect from 1 October 2009. The proposed changes do not require formal shareholder approval.
