NSG Group’s CDP rating improved to Climate Change A-
NSG Group is pleased to announce that it received a Climate Change A- leadership rating from CDP* for the recognition of its climate change actions and information disclosure.
Since 2011, NSG Group has participated in annual CDP Climate Change and Water reporting. This year, the Group’s CDP Climate Change 2023 score improved from the previous B management rating to an A- leadership rating. This score improvement recognizes the Group’s continuous climate change actions and commitment to transparency.
NSG Group has set a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to 2018 levels and has been certified as a Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). At the same time, we aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Through various initiatives to achieve the targets, NSG Group will accelerate the activities toward the decarbonization of our business and strive to realize a sustainable society.
*CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts on climate change, water security and deforestation.
*SBT Initiative (Science Based Targets Initiative):
A joint initiative of the CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), which encourages companies to set greenhouse gas reduction targets consistent with scientific findings in order to reduce climate change risks.
