The company will showcase the SELFOC® lens series, a unique optical lens that enables simple and compact optical system design. SELFOC® lenses are gradient index lenses that can be used in a wide range of applications, including office automation equipment, optical inspection, optical communications, and endoscopes.

Lens array products developed for machine vision, such as the "SLA 5DG", which has a depth of field (DOF) approximately twice that of conventional products, and the "SLA 5AG", which has a working distance approximately twice that of conventional products, will be on display at the venue. It will also exhibit the "SELFOC® Lens Plate", which uses SELFOC® lens array technology to enable imaging of surface shapes rather than linear shapes.

In addition, Contact Image Sensor equipped with SELFOC® Lens Array will also be displayed. Compared with conventional line camera systems, this product is more compact and space-saving, and has excellent image uniformity in the horizontal direction, so it is used in a variety of applications, including semiconductor, electronic component, and battery film inspection.

  • Exhibition Name Vision China (Shanghai) 2025
China (Shanghai) Machine Vision Exhibition and Machine Vision
    Technology & Application Conference
    Exhibition Period March 26th - 28th, 2025 9:00 - 17:00 (local time) *Until 16:00 on the last day
Venue Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC)

  • Product Overview

  • SELFOC® Lens Array

SELFOC® Lens Array (SLA) typically comprises one or two rows of micro gradient-index lenses (SELFOC® lenses) arranged in an array. The images from adjacent lenses overlap and form a continuous linear 1:1 image, and with this unique feature, it is used as a key component in a broad range of line scanning systems and electrophotographic printing systems.

In response to the growing demand for industrial inspection equipment in recent years, we developed the new SLA 5DG lens, which has a depth of field (DOF) approximately twice that of conventional products, in 2020, and the SLA 5AG lens, which has a working distance approximately twice that of conventional products, in 2021.

    SELFOC® Lens Plate

SLP (SELFOC® Lens Plate) is a lens plate in which lenses are arranged in a two-dimensional direction by applying the technology of SELFOC® lens array (SLA). An aerial image can be displayed by combining it with a liquid crystal display.
