NSG Group’s DEI Activities
Aiming to be an inclusive organization where everyone can be their best
NSG Group is committed to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), which is based on one of the Group's core values, "Respecting others and unleashing their potential", we aim to create an inclusive organization where everyone can be their best, by focusing on the strengths and development of each employee. As part of our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, a number of inclusive activities were held at the Group's sites around the world during June, for Pride Month (a period of activities and events to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ challenges in countries around the world).
"Respecting Differences Makes All the Difference" Campaign (Brazil)
Brazil produced a campaign called "Respecting Differences Makes All the Difference". This was externally led by Bruno Carramenha, a partner at '4CO Comunicação e Cultura Organizacional' - one of the top ten most admired communication companies in Brazil.
The campaign featured a series of events designed to engage and educate employees across various locations including an in person lecture, and online lecture and follow up communications materials.
By fostering a culture of respect for differences, the initiative aims to create a more inclusive and harmonious workplace, where every individual's unique contributions are valued and celebrated.

Career Workshop for Female Managers (Japan)
The online workshops have been held regularly since October 2020 as a forum for our female managers to build their network and career plans. The workshops have created an environment where our people can discuss their plans with a wide range of colleagues at all career stages.
The recent workshop focussed on "LGBTQ+ in the workplace," and was open to all managers.
Participants discussed topics such as "What should we do to promote understanding in the workplace?" and "What can each of us do?".
Many positive comments about creating an open workplace were received from the participants. For example, "There are a lot of things we don't know, so we need to study what other companies are doing", "It was good to hear the thoughts from the other workplace" and "I would like to learn more by listening to the sexual minorities seminars".

Installation of gender-neutral toilets (UK)
At our Lathom site in the UK, the first gender-neutral toilets were installed as part of an effort to create an inclusive work environment where everyone can be themselves. The idea was raised to our Lathom DEI group from our Women's Network. and was fully embraced by our site leadership.
The gender-neutral toilets were installed in an easy-to-access location.
In addition to this project, our UK sites continue to generate ideas to support DEI and more broadly our social responsibility goals and commitment.
