PG Separator
| PG separators are the highest quality leaf-type separator in its class. It is a laminate composed of a synthetic pulp paper with a glass mat, and is widely used in heavy-duty automotive applications especially where poor road conditions or hot climates exist. Due to its flat surface geometery, high assembly pressures can be employeed to prevent active material "dropout" and premature failure. The separators have high mechanical strength that resist tearing and cracking, allowing for effecient automatic or hand assembling. |

Characteristics
Advantages of PG separators compared with other leaf-type separators made with Linter Pulp or PVC.
- Smaller pore and less short-circuit
- Lower electrical resistance and better characteristics of high rate discharge
- Higher chemical stability and heat resistance
- Higher durability and longer endurance
- High mechanical strength to avoid cracking and breaking during battery assembling
- Due to its flat surface, the separator can be compressed with high pressure to prevent dropout of the active material.
(Other separator to adjust the distance between the plates by ribs do not have this effect).
