Our Footprint

In line with our 3-year Strategic Management Plan, we recently announced the further expansion of our manufacturing base in South East Asia and China

• The My Xuan float line in southern Vietnam, which was mothballed in 2009, has been converted to produce coated glass for thin film applications, with production starting in August 2011. In addition, a similar float line is being constructed on the same site.
• In China, the NSG/SYP joint venture facility in Changshu is soon to be upgraded to also enable the manufacture of coated glass for thin film applications, with shipments expected to begin in January 2012.

The new investments will bring the NSG Group's online coating float lines producing solar energy products to eight (one in Japan, two in North America, two in Europe, two in Vietnam and one in China), maintaining the Group's global leadership position in this fast-growing segment.
