Architectural - Organization

Our Architectural operations are organised into four regions: Europe, Asia, North and South America.

It operates 26 float lines. It has downstream processing in Europe and Japan and a major presence in Europe, Japan, North America, South America and South East Asia.

Europe

Main upstream operations are in Germany, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom. The downstream part of the business includes all of the glass processing and wholesaling operations serving the European market through a network of branches.

The extensive range of products and services includes merchanting, the manufacture of safety glass, and the complete range of (Pilkington Insulight™) glass units.

Asia

In Japan, the business has its main upstream production site in Chiba. The downstream business, represented by laminated glass and vacuum glazing glass production, operates across the country. With six sales offices, Architectural Japan offers a full range of products and services to its customers.

The Group operates three float lines in Vietnam and two in Malaysia. One of float lines in Vietnam produces mainly glasses for solar.

North America

Architectural North America manufactures and distributes products for the architectural and commercial market (exterior and interior), speciality glass market and fire-rated glass market for a diverse range of applications. In addition to sales offices and float glass plants across the country, the business also has a Technical Services Department committed to working with customers to answer any glass-related technical and performance questions.

South America

The Group’s strategy in South America has for many years concentrated around operating jointly owned float facilities operated by Cebrace, the Group's joint venture with Saint-Gobain.

NSG Group operates float lines in Argentina and in Chile and the NSG Group and Saint-Gobain together now operate lines in Brazil and Colombia. The Group also has warehousing activities in Uruguay and Peru.
