NSG Group Announces Delay in Plans to Expand Touch Screen Glass Capacity in Vietnam

Date
10 Feb 2012

Following a review of demand and capacity in the supply of products for the touch panel market, the NSG Group has today announced its intention to delay its plans to build a float line in Vietnam to manufacture value-added thin glass. A revised timetable for the project, originally announced on 23 May 2011, will be determined in due course.

NSG Ultra Fine Flat glass (UFF) products are increasingly being used in the growing touch panel market, particularly in mobile devices and computers. The Group is confident that it will be able to meet near to medium term demand from its existing production facilities.

The decision follows the Company's announcement on 15 December 2011 of a delay in plans to build a line in Vietnam for the production of glass for the Solar Energy sector.
