NSG Foundation for Materials Science and Engineering Hosts 35th Research Presentation
TOKYO (January 31, 2018) - Nippon Sheet Glass Foundation for Materials and Engineering (NSG Foundation) hosted its 35th research presentation entitled “New Trends in Materials Research” on January 30.
NSG Foundation offers annual grants in support of inorganic materials research. Presented at the event yesterday were the five themes related to basic and applied research of inorganic materials that had received the grants in 2014.
Established in 1979 with the 60th anniversary of Nippon Sheet Glass, Co., Ltd. (NSG Group), NSG Foundation promotes science and technology in the field of inorganic materials now widely in use for electronic equipment and daily necessities.
Supported by NSG Group since its foundation and certified as a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation in 2009, NSG Foundation has given 1.568 billion yen for 1,197 grants involving basic and applied research in glass, ceramic, nano-science and others.
