Date
01 Jun 2016

SELFOC Lens Array (SLA), manufactured by Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd. (NSG), is used in instax SHARE Smartphone Printer SP-1*1, a product of FUJIFILM Corporation.

The SLA is part of the product’s key component where images are printed on “instax mini” film and SLA was chosen for its small size as well as simple and lightweight structure.

instax SHARE Smartphone Printer SP-1 can directly print smartphone images on “instax mini” film anytime, anywhere. The compact and portable design – measuring 101.6mm x 42mm x 122.5mm and weighing 253g – makes this printer ultraportable.

SLA is an array of flat-end self-focusing lenses (SELFOC lens) that can transfer light and images. With SLA’s simple, small and light design, erect same size images can be created, making it an ideal component for compact optical devices.

The NSG Group aims to be a VA Glass Company providing a wide range of value added glass products to satisfy the needs of various markets and regions.

*1: Also known as “Sumaho-de-Cheki” in Japan.
