Quality and Delivery

These procedures apply to all suppliers of materials and/or services that directly affect the quality of the products manufactured by NSG Group.  Already implemented in the Automotive Business Line, these processes are progressively being rolled out to other business lines.

Quality

NSG Group expects that suppliers provide goods and services that meet our specifications.  NSG Group uses procedures to manage situations where the specification is not met (see below).  Continued failure to meet quality standards could result in loss of business with NSG Group.

SQIN (Supplier Quality Incident Notice)

The SQIN Database is the tool used by NSG Group to manage the processing and reporting of SQINs involving operations, procurement and quality functions, both at a local and a central level. It defines and manages the series of activities to be undertaken to contain, resolve and prevent the re-occurrence of supplier related quality issues.

Suppliers are able to access the SQIN system via a secure link that is emailed to them on creation of a SQIN.  Suppliers should then submit their responses and route cause analysis (8D) reports on-line via the system.

Delivery

NSG Group expects that suppliers provide goods and services in line with our timing expectations. NSG Group uses procedures to manage situations where goods are delivered late (see below).  Continued failure to meet delivery expectations could result in loss of business with NSG Group.

SDIN (Supplier delivery Incident Notice)

The SDIN Database is the tool used by NSG Group to manage the processing and reporting of SDINs involving operations, procurement and supply chain functions, both at a local and a central level. It defines and manages the series of activities to be undertaken to contain, resolve and prevent the re-occurrence of supplier related delivery issues.
